Join Me in Building a Brighter Future

I am Sylvia Rodriguez-Sanchez and I am running for the Ector County Hospital District (ECHD) Board in District 3 because I want our district, and all of the hospital district, to get the support it needs. MCH not only serves Ector County, but also 17 other counties around us.
The current representative has been in office for over 18 years; he has been appointed twice and has never faced an election with a challenger. MCH Board Meetings are public record, and minutes can be found on their website. Those minutes show the current representative's attendance at board meetings and participation on committees has been unacceptable during his long tenure. Additionally, he has voted to raise taxes even recently when the ECHD Board was seeking to increase the tax cap from $.15 to $.75 in the November 2025 election. Previously he voted to end the retirees health coverage. I think it’s time for a change.
I have worked in healthcare for more than 40 years and want to help make the district better by serving in this volunteer role to ensure our hospital district is making good financial decisions, is transparent, and is providing the best healthcare available in the Permian Basin in all specialties.
I am retired and have spent many years helping the community. I have worked with many local groups, like the Knights of Columbus and Daughters of Mary. I also help with voter registration to make sure everyone has a voice in elections.
I know how to run things because of my experience in healthcare, and I want to make sure all of District 3 gets the support it needs. I humbly ask for your vote.
